What Is Included in the Door Installation Process?

It starts with a free consultation. A free consultation includes measuring each door that needs replacement and discussing your home’s personal style to help you choose the door that is right for you.

Quality Installation

It is important that your new door fits correctly. We believe that a door is only as good as the quality of its installation. Improper fitting can affect the insulation value around the door and affect the functionality of the door. Here at Byler’s we take everything into consideration. We measure the overall dimensions, jamb size, and trim size to ensure that we have the correct door and trim to fit your existing door opening. Upon installation of your entry door or patio door, we dispose of your old door at no additional cost.

Insulation

We evaluate the existing opening for any discrepancies. Improvements such as aluminum sill wrap are done when necessary to help seal the sill plate from incoming moisture. Each door is shimmed correctly to allow the door to swing or slide freely and latch correctly. Each door is insulated around the perimeter with window and door grade spray foam insulation. Silicone is used to seal the bottom of the door.

What are My Options for Door Trim?

New interior and exterior door trim is included unless otherwise specified. We can also reuse the existing door trim if you like. Also included with your door installation is the hardware installation, whether it is provided by the customer or included with the purchase of a new door.

We offer installation of many types of storm and screen doors. A storm door can be added to your entry door upon the completion of the entry door installation. All hardware installation is included.
